Been a little bit excited about the Marni collection for H&M since it was announced back in November and here it is, the whole lookbook, photographed by Josh Ollins. Featuring Marni signature bold oversized prints and chunky plastic jewellery (love!) Must haves for me include a truly amazing sequined collar and a cute wee pair of patterned shorts.
Whistles! My other new favourite thing. Probably the closest we have to Madewell, working at a neighbouring concession in Frasers, is quite simply torture. Three days a week i have to walk past and pretend not to notice, whilst mentally planning a shopping list that will rpobably never be realised (unless it's sale time). So here it goes, another list of covatable pieces that i want and probably can't have.
I wiped the slate clean (well almost) and started again. Here's to new beginnings and here's to American jeans makers Madewell. Most recently brought to the forefront and to my attention with their collaboration with fashionista Alexa Chung (which was, delightful, to say the least), Madewell (1973) is my new favourite, well, thing. Boasting their 'covet-worthy dresses, amazing leather boots, tees you’ll want in multiples and the most perfect chambray shirts you’ll ever wear', Madewell is the shop i love but can't have. I find myself continually browsing their web store, lusting over polka dot dresses, polka dot capri pants and of course, polka dot midi skirts, only to find they don't ship to the U.K. Maybe this is a good thing, seen as a simple spotty frock would set me back at least $150...
the good news is, i'm off to NYC in no less than three weeks, and here is my wish list, if i come back with even one of these lovlies i'll be dead chuffed!
